The most distant common ancestor of Group G is John Prewitt who lived in Schuyler Co., Ill. in the early 1840s until his death in the mid to late 1860s. Prior to or after his death, John's wife and three of his five children were living in Mason Co., Ill. From there, John's widow and three children moved west, through Missouri, Kansas then to Nebraska with one child moving back east to Kentucky. Descendants moved from there to Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma and Alabama.
